About Me

I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for my whole life. I was born and raised in the Seattle area, and attended the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington where I earned a BA in Liberal Arts. I returned to Seattle to work, and had a son in my late-20s. I have always wanted to practice law but did not decide to attend law school until shortly after I met my wife Jessica in my 30s. We moved to Portland where we were married, and soon after I began working toward my law degree.

I studied law at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I graduated Cum Laude in January, 2009. I returned to Portland and passed the Oregon State Bar and began the process of starting my legal career. Since I was young the Oregon Coast has been a frequent destination for weekend getaways and road trips, so when presented with an opportunity to set up a practice in Florence, we took advantage and opened my office in January, 2010.

Jessica and I and our dogs have made Florence our home and enjoy being part of this community. I am an active member of the Florence Rotary Club, and when not working Jessica and I enjoy gardening, reading in our hammock, walking our dogs, and taking advantage of all that the beautiful Oregon coast has to offer.
